Is INDIA the meaning of BHARAT ?

Is India the meaning of Bharat ? A child will answer it as N0. INDIA is geographical name while BHARAT is mythical name, that does not prove its existence anywhere, that does not connect with any of the tangible feature of the nation and that does not valid to represent the whole nation by geography. A rational mind who belief in the existence by prove will ever hesitate to take the name BHARAT rather than INDIA. BHARAT does not define neither religion nor geography of the nation.

Its sounds ambiguous in the nomenclature of the nation when there is two name for one country which are of different meaning that denote two kind of people who will use the name between the two i.e. INDIA and BHARAT. What is the logic of naming a country, I don't know, that changes its name when the language changes, meaning BHARAT in Hindi while it is INDIA in English where both is not the meaning of one another?

Follow the culture of the lane you visit...!!

There is one maxim in Manipur that "if we go to a lane, we have to follow the culture of the lane". Here the point is whats the wrong to maintain some modesty rule of the lane if you know that there is a threat if you don't do so. In fact, what the oufit you think modest is not in manipur also. Thats double standard which is beyond the accpetable moral (among Manipuries) at all.

Then why here, what is the reason to  (why you...) oppose when police officers ask you (she) to maintain the modesty level of the place you are living now (Delhi or similar place). The standard law of liberty cannot be applied anywhere across the globe same-to-same, meaning there is the need of the model of laws and regulation to apply according to the  'local settings' of the place concerning. This is internationally accepted model of law and governance.  So, you may demand for justice, but you may not get. Example, many are raped in Delhi, but don't get justice, but blame the state as discriminatory, may be, but in many situations it is not. Therefore, please don't jump to western model of 'rights' at individual level, you may not get that in India, Delhi or anywhere. So, you need to maintain the culture of the lane you go.

And, in many cases as I have personnaly experinced in Delhi among Manipuries, the criminal case which is genuine in front of law may not be in moral terms, which is more important in our society. Example, its very shamefull to find many cases filed as rape case accusing the rapist, but morally she is the guilty in fact when we investigate deeper. This is Indian model of law in family courts that women's voice bear more weightage than that of men. Scientifically not true, but socially true by by general assumption.

Law can't see to the dept that we local people do, the truth which is morally fair and just. Thus it still remains a great negative impression in her environment, like me and many more, even when the case has filed as genuine rape case. Hope this does not happen among us in next time. Such cases tend to generalise local people as such cases are not morally genuine criminal cases.

No caste No Indian-Politics !

It is of the controversy that which one will be efficient if laid the policies on the basis of economic status or caste basis. Although to categories the population of more than one billion is very difficult job in which again the accuracy and efficiency will be of another controversy. This is the story of laymen language which is meant to poor Indians.
On another side of the coin, here the story the diversities of Indian population, the trend of caste and politics since colonial and how much is associated the caste with modern Indian politics is how the question is to be cracked its clues. The policy of divide and rule and communal reward was one example how the politics of caste came to be seen easily. And in modern India how government target the upliftment of a cast community or identity community and how a politics emerge from one lower identity are some clues for me to prove the statement that caste plays a decisive role in politics in India.
Indian society is filled with division ranging from Hinduism itself to numbers of identity groups which make the population complete. In Hindu society, since the beginning, caste is inherited as Brahmin, Kshatriyas, Veishnav, Sudra which called as Dalits. And moreover this, there are many identity groups other than Hindu religious hierarchy system like Tamilian, Sikhs, Bhudists, Muslims and so on.
Some times in politics party system comes not necessarily into the picture because party system emerges based on different identity groups and on other side party system is an integral part of Indian democratic politics. For example, BJP is backed by Hindus majority and upper class Hindu Society. They try to influence the politics parallel to the ideologies from where they emerge. For instance, BJP all time try to change even the syllabus of NCERT text books more connected to Hinduism, not Mughals and British or Christians.
And in many instances, BJP try to lay the more strict culture of Hinduism in Indian society because of which it may sometimes tend to anti secular democracy. In addition, they are more associated with upper class society. This shows how Indian politics is associated to castes of Indian societies. And this is the reason that caste plays a decisive role in Indian politics.
India is a democratic state because of which increases the activities of the caste. As a political power of the ruling elite gradually pass on the people in a mass society the impact of caste in felt much more. Sometimes one caste dominates over the other, due to social conditions. Caste has played a basic role in the decision making process, for instance the reorganization of states in India had to grapple with it so that no caste group dominates a particular territory. Although untouchability has been prohibited by amending constitution and in enforcement of this Dalits and Adivasies have been given legal protection as positive measures.
Thus an attempt has been made to create economic and social equality but these reservations have affected Indian politics in an unwholesome manner. Groups declared backward are now not prepared to forego the concessions that accrue to them by the label of backwardness. Caste has thus become a major obstacle in the establishment of a casteless society and has cemented communal connections. Even the politicians are caught in the web.
On the one hand, they would like the differences and preferences based on caste to be abolished and on the other, are well aware that these are helpful in securing the vote. They, therefore, bless the caste organizations and also try to determine their limitations and contain their influence. This paradoxical situation can, therefore, be overcome only if the caste entity and the impact it makes on politics is fully recognized. The preceding lines give the clue to prove that caste plays a decisive role in Indian politics.
In Indian democratic political system caste becomes important because politics is highly competitive in this Indian multi-party system politics. Its purpose is to gain power for certain ends. It is therefore exploits all kinds of loyalties in the society to gain and consolidate certain political positions because of which organization and articulation of support are important in the above process of politics in our country. Caste is one such organization with which the people are associated.
The link between politics and caste is thus important and in the process both interact so closely that they are transformed. Party programmes also cut across caste loyalties and members of one caste may be divided on the basis of ideological affiliations. Moreover, political connection is a reflection of the social reality and politics in one instrument which a particular class or group exploits to strengthen it. Indian democracy is necessarily a practice of alliance formation. Politicians or political parties forged a grand alliance of farmer and marginable and deprive communities to get support. In the same way, Ambedkar concerned about the constitutional provisions for Dalits (as already mentioned somewhere else above). It is because of the above reasons that I would confirm that caste plays a decisive role in Indian politics.
To conclude, Indian society is rooted with the caste hierarchy whether lower or upper or religious or regional because of which caste is inevitable in Indian politics. Many time upper castes try to hold the pivotal of the politics and in many situations also lower caste try to take its positions. As mention above development rural in India is the development of lower sections of society. This this is the reason that there always controversy over the reservation of different caste, community or region.
This process takes the role of politicians and party system in the Indian politics. In addition, major religious conflict involves the politicians and the judiciary system whether in the beginning or the ending. Hence, it is not wrong to say that caste plays a decisive role in Indian politics.

Can an Epic be a true story ?

"It is this critical study that led to the conclusion that there was no "Ramayana age" or a particular time in which the "Ramayana" was written. The Valmiki Ramayana continued to change and acquire new passages over a long period. Like Homer's epics Ramayana was composed floating oral legends and ballads which were given the shape of an epic by the genius of a great poet. There has never been historical evidence that the events narrated ever happened in reality.

But for the Hindu right, Ramayana rather than being a mythological poem becomes a fact whose history cannot be questioned

The supremacy of rational inquiry is a fundamental basis of all academic endeavors and undermining that destroys the basis of a university. If the logic of the criticism of Ramanujan's essay is extended, then historical studies will be transformed into theological works that discuss religion only from theological rather than secular standpoint".

Neither to be Buddha nor a Pig.

One of my friend asked me now a days why you updating your Facebook posts based on girls/ love / sex? I answered unwillingly, "it's just today's trend as you know".

What I want to question is why artist, painter/ writer express their feelings through sexual figurines. They seem to indulge in it. I went to Ellora Cave, Maharashtra in 2010, inside the cave wall stone figurines are all stories of perhaps Kamasutra in many places, and rest figurines are also symbols of sex. You can see one photo in my album "My Ugly Clips" in my Facebook. Next time I can't go there with anyone other than my girlfriend or boyfriend, never with family.

In India some temples have banned from children entry, and in UK all street Bra shops has been banned recently due to increasing indulgence of young youths into sex. I question myself why passing all these new laws and regulations against sex. Let it go if it is started and accepted by the followers from the beginning.

But Quran kept all these unopened as such ways of expressions are worthless stuffs of the means for the purpose of a living. But it doesn't mean that Quran never talk anything about it, it tells the best of Kamasutra. But Quran never talks either to be Buddha or a Pig.

Medical Benefits of Islamic Way of Fasting (Ramadan)

Muslims from across the world stay ordained to the Quran and fast for the whole of Ramadan month. Fasting is a part of pleasing God, in almost all religions. Probably, the health benefits of fasting were known to our forefathers several centuries ago.

Though the primary aim of fasting by Muslims is to conform to religious norms, fasting brings in several health benefits too. While considering health benefits, there are also a few problems to consider and precautions to take while fasting.

Those who suffer from medical conditions like coronary artery disease, kidney stones, etc. are exempt from fasting. The negative effects of total fasting include hypokalemia (drastic drop of blood potassium levels), cardiac arrhythmia (abnormal heart beat), etc. Ramadan fasting is not total fasting and believers take nutrients needed for the body, through the systematically planned early morning and evening food.Lowering of blood sugar levels, cholesterol and blood pressure are the first notable physiological changes.

Diabetes patients need to take extra care while fasting. Hypoglycaemia, a condition characterized by abnormal drop of blood sugar levels can cause health problems. Diabetic patients should reduce intake of medicines or insulin injection during fasting. Monitoring of blood sugar levels is also desirable. Conditions like tiredness, sweating, headaches, unconsciousness, etc. are the symptoms of abnormally low levels of blood sugar levels.

Hyperglycaemia- this is the reverse of hypoglycaemia, characterised by increase of blood sugar levels. This is mainly due to the medicines you take to sustain blood sugar levels. Increase in blood sugar levels can cause problems to kidney and eyes.

Problems of Acidity and Ulcer –bile can get filled up in stomach, which causes acidity and ulcer. Healthy individuals have considerable health benefits from Ramadan fasting. It is an effective detoxification therapy. Toxins accumulated in the body break down and pass out of the body.

Fasting is ideal for both overweight and underweight persons. It is commonsense how fasting works to reduce weight. During fasting, deposited fat gets used and burns down and facilitates weight loss.

Fasting also normalizes the digestive system of underweight persons, and equips body to digest and assimilate nutrients from the food they eat.

Fasting can also clear many skin problems. This is because of the elimination of toxic materials from the body and generally cleansing the blood.

Fasting has advantages in getting rid of addictions and unhealthy habits like smoking and taking alcohol. Ramadan fasting improves the health condition of healthy people. But for people who suffer from any medical condition should monitor their body and physiology more closely.

Pregnant and feeding women are exempted from fasting and they shall not attempt fasting, as it can deprive nutrition to both mother and child.

Most Submitters (Muslims) do not fast because of medical benefits but because it has been ordained to them in the Quran. The medical benefits of fasting are as a result of fasting. Fasting in general has been used in medicine for medical reasons including weight management, for rest of the digestive tract and for lowering lipids.

There are many adverse effects of total fasting as well as so-called crash diets. Islamic fasting is different from such diet plans because in Ramadan fasting, there is no malnutrition or inadequate calorie intake.

The caloric intake of Muslims during Ramadan is at or slightly below the national requirement guidelines. In addition, the fasting in Ramadan is voluntarily taken and is not a prescribed imposition from the physician.

Ramadan is a month of self-regulation and self-training, with the hope that this training will last beyond the end of Ramadan. If the lessons learned during Ramadan, whether in terms of dietary intake or righteousness, are carried on after Ramadan, it is beneficial for one’s entire life. Moreover, the type of food taken during Ramadan does not have any selective criteria of crash diets such as those which are protein only or fruit only type diets. Everything that is permissible is taken in moderate quantities.

The only difference between Ramadan and total fasting is the timing of the food; during Ramadan, we basically miss lunch and take an early breakfast and do not eat until dusk. Abstinence from water during this period is not bad at all and in fact, it causes concentration of all fluids within the body, producing slight dehydration. The body has its own water conservation mechanism; in fact, it has been shown that slight dehydration and water conservation, at least in plant life, improve their longevity.

The physiological effect of fasting includes lower of blood sugar, lowering of cholesterol and lowering of the systolic blood pressure. In fact, Ramadan fasting would be an ideal recommendation for treatment of mild to moderate, stable, non-insulin diabetes, obesity and essential hypertension.

In 1994 the first International Congress on "Health and Ramadan," held in Casablanca, entered 50 research papers from all over the world, from Muslim and non-Muslim researchers who have done extensive studies on the medical ethics of fasting. While improvement in many medical conditions was noted; however, in no way did fasting worsen any patients’ health or baseline medical condition. On the other hand, patients who are suffering from severe diseases, whether diabetes or coronary artery disease, kidney stones, etc., are exempt from fasting and should not try to fast.

There are psychological effects of fasting as well. There is a peace and tranquility for those who fast during the month of Ramadan. Personal hostility is at a minimum, and the crime rate decreases. This psychological improvement could be related to better stabilization of blood glucose during fasting as hypoglycemia after eating, aggravates behavior changes.

Recitation of the Quran not only produces a tranquility of heart and mind, but improves the memory. Therefore, I encourage my Muslim patients to fast in the month of Ramadan, but they must do it under medical supervision. Healthy adult Muslims should not fear becoming weak by fasting, but instead it should improve their health and stamina.
